Im a ways into this quest and it has split off into two objectives. One goes after hjalmar to the south, and the other heads north to "find the man the trolls captured". I headed south initially got to the cabin near where you get the master armorer blacksmith tools then backed out as this seemed to be the main part of the quest.

So the objective to the north is the one im struggling with. I can see the quest is taking me towards the tower yet as i get almost there i cant find anything. The quest marker is covering a large portion of the trail up the mountain. Ive searched all over the place in that spot and the outer tips of the yellow circle are just sheer cliff drops. I even tried just heading to the tower to see if it would auto update but nothing.

Ive been on this part nearly an hour and in two minds to just skip it and go to hjalmar instead. Last edited by Nezkeys ; 18 Oct, pm. Showing 1 - 4 of 4 comments. Last edited by v0 ; 18 Oct, pm. Ah seems like the fast travelling i did threw me off as i returned. From the abandoned village i kept heading up the cliff and was fooled into thinking i was heading towards the tower lol. The cave entrance is just before the path up the mountain. Yeah i hate vertical projection in games.

Ive experienced this before with locating the baths in novigrad amd some other place in novigrad. I'm stuck at the same place. I've even climbed the entire mountain and gone up to the Harpy-infested peak to try to find the guy. This part is rather dangerous because it's easy to get knocked off or fall off.

I think I'm going to go back down now. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 18 Oct, pm. Posts: 4. Discussions Rules and Guidelines.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that children only prove more troublesome as they mature. In Crach's case, any troubles his offspring had caused him only doubled after King Bran's death, when both his son and daughter joined the ranks of the claimants of Skellige's throne. Tradition demanded the next king be a great hero, and Hjalmar, Crach's son, felt he fit the bill perfectly. As anyone versed in fable knows, there is no more fitting way to prove oneself a hero than to kill a giant - and it so happened there was one such beast in desperate need of slaughtering on the nearby isle of Undvik. Thus Hjalmar had organized an expedition and set off to earn his glory.

Before you set out to Undvik you can go to New Port Inn to get extra info on how to reach the island. Note: If you also speak to Axel you will get some vital information about the Jarl of Undvik.

The Lord of Undvik is a Skellige side quest with suggested level 17, which is obtained after talking to Crache; it involves finding and helping his son, Hjalmar. Note that it's quite long, so don't expect it to be a quick search-and-rescue mission. To get started talk to Crache to get the quest and get more information on where Hjalmar can be found. To accomplish the first optional objective, go to the New Port Inn and talk the people from Undvik, to find more about the giant, and the Jarl of Undvik.
