Three little birds sat on my window And they told me I don't need to worry Summer came like cinnamon, so sweet Little girls double-dutch on the concrete. Maybe sometimes We've got it wrong, but it's alright The more things seem to change The more they stay the same Oh, don't you hesitate. Girl, put your records on Tell me your favorite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans I hope you get your dreams Just go ahead, let your hair down You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow. Blue as the sky, sunburnt and lonely Sipping tea in a bar by the roadside just relax, just relax Don't you let those other boys fool you Got to love that afro hairdo. Maybe sometimes We feel afraid, but it's alright The more you stay the same The more they seem to change Don't you think it's strange? Girl, put your records on Tell me your favorite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans I hope you get your dreams Just go ahead, let your hair down.

The artist is new to me, and now I'm a fan, intend to purchase the entire album. If you like female vocalists, there is no doubt you will enjoy this one. She doesn't remind me of anyone, her voice and style are unique, pleasant, easy to listen to. The music captures you and won't let go. The recording quality is definitely high end audiophile sound. Highly recommended! Nice easy listening tune, puts a combination of Natalie Cole and Etta James with a dash of Mariah thrown in. Love it. Great music.

I was confused! When I first played the CD I thought my CD player was broken That's not truthful advertising or honest pricing! I'm NOT disappointed in the singer, Ms. Corinne Bailey Rae, but I surely didn't realize I was paying that much for 2 teeny songs!! I love her music. However, I didn't realize until I got the CD that there are only two tracks on it. It was like getting an old 45 record or a demo tape. Michael Kerner Top Contributor: Hedgehogs.

The past few years really haven't brought much in the way of newer artists for the music industry that sound just simply fresh and soulful.

What I like about Corrine Bailey Rae is her simplicity and tone with her music. It just feels beautiful and elequent with each tone on her breakout single, Put Your Records On, the second track from her debut album.

The song is a delight to listen to. I like this song a whole lot because it isn't overconjured and it just is a great down to Earth song.

I just really am expecting much more from this promising voice down the road. She sounds delightful. As many haved explained, Ms. Rae has a supremely soulful and raw voice. It's really good stuff especially if it's snowing and you've got a good book. Notice that reviewer, 'thayes' has rated almost all other CDs with horrible ratings. It's pretty great stuff. I'd go for Corinne. If it means anything, she is a popular artist on the Barns and Noble speakers. See all reviews from the United States.

Top international reviews. With the benefit of hindsight, and having lived with these recordings for a few years now, "Put Your Records On" is the best song from Corinne's self-titled album. I recall at the time several magazine features and interviews in which she came across as an uncharacteristically well-balanced and contented individual, happily married, grounded in real life etc.

Since then lurid tabloid stories have cast doubt on some of that, but transport yourself back to the pre-Amy Winehouse days of wholesome, healthy Corinne's peak with this wondrous CD single and get the highlight of her album. Perhaps prophetically, the B-side is called "Another Rainy Day", but for now forget the rain, wheel out that bicycle and cycle down some summer country lanes in search of the spirit of this superb singer. One person found this helpful.

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. Songs like this give me some hope for music in the 21st century when there seems to be very few songs each year that qualify as future classics.

I think this one will hold the test of time. You've read the top international reviews. There's a problem loading this menu right now. Learn more about Amazon Prime. Put Your Records On

Corinne Bailey Rae's hair has got bigger. The halo of ringlets that framed the singer's features when she burst to prominence in is now a bountiful shoulder-length thicket. It's a new, assured look that complements her beautiful and emotionally uncompromising new record, The Sea. But it's not all that has changed since we last met. Four years ago, Rae was in the midst of a whirlwind of hype and expectation. Singles "Put Your Records On" and "Like a Star" soundtracked both dinner parties and sleep-overs, propelling her jazz-influenced soul-pop into the mainstream. Rae's debut eventually sold four million copies worldwide. But she was not the archetypal pop star.
